Like most people in their fifties, the amount of my physical activity was reduced.  I was not cycling, rock-climbing, or running like I did when I was younger -- and my eating habits were getting worse.  After years of this I had gained over 40 lbs.  I was 6’4” and weighed 230 lbs.  But because of my height, most people thought that I carried it well, but I was not happy.  My knees and back hurt so much that the pain kept me from most activities.  I am 55 and do not want to feel older and more feeble until I die.  I had to do something but did not know what.

I had always considered working with a personal trainer a ‘self-indulgence’ ... until I started working with Jim MacDonald.  My wife was in a similar situation and decided to participate as well.  After 3 months with Jim, we now call it an ‘investment’ in ourselves that we no longer want to live without.

We explained to Jim what we each wanted to achieve, and he did a full assessment including body fat and all measurements.  He set out a nutrition and exercise program to fit our needs.  Jim’s program had me losing 25 lbs in 8 weeks and at the same time, gaining muscle.  If you had asked me 4 months earlier if I thought this was possible I would have said you were crazy.

Jim keeps the workouts interesting and exciting.  Each hour session with him is never the same so you never get bored doing the same repetitious workout.  I am truly amazed at all the different types of exercises he has in his bag of tricks.  He is very knowledgeable about all the different muscle groups and the cardiovascular system.  He makes sure that he targets workouts around every muscle group, not just the major muscles.  He explains every exercise and the muscles that it benefits.  Additionally, Jim is a great motivator.  He doesn’t yell as I’ve heard other trainers do.  Instead, he helps us through the exercise and will encourage us to get through every repetition and every set.  I look forward to our sessions with Jim and will continue training with him until we’ve reached our goals.

We’ve been working with Jim for almost 3 months and have seen amazing results in that time.  We have never felt stronger or healthier.  My friends and family can’t stop commenting on our improvement, even our grandkids.  When I started, my blood pressure was bordering on hospitalization, and now it’s well within healthy standards.  We have incredible energy, our balance and flexibility have improved immensely and we’ve got great new muscles.  If you are serious about changing your life for the better, Jim will lead you every step of the way.

I’m a mother of two and a grandmother of four.  After being slim for most of my life, I gradually gained weight as I advanced into middle age.  At 52, I found myself 50 pounds overweight in spite of walking 3 miles a day.  A pain in my hip started troubling me and I worried that I would need to cut back on walking and become even less fit.  That is when my son introduced me to the Infinity Life program.

I found the nutritional side of the Infinity Life program easy to follow and easy to live with.  Eating five times a day keeps me from ever being hungry.  I have also lost all of my cravings for sweets by sticking to foods low on the glycemic index.

I was more skeptical that I could follow the fitness program.  My trainer informed me that the pain in my hip was from too much repetitive movement during my three-mile walks.  I needed to build strength in the muscles supporting my hip.  I also learned that interval training would produce better fitness results with shorter workouts.

Ten weeks into the Infinity Life program I am feeling better than I have in twenty years.  After each fitness training session I go home tired, but with a real feeling of accomplishment.  The pain in my hip is almost completely gone.  I have lost ten pounds and intend on losing twenty more.  My husband (who is also doing the program with me) and I used to think that getting older meant accepting all the aches, pains, and frailties that come with advancing age.  Now we realize that we can stay healthy and fit well into our golden years.  I am very pleased and satisfied with the Infinity Life program and would enthusiastically recommend it to everyone.
