In addition to testing, exercise, and nutrition, the management of stress is a critical part of the Infinity Life™ four-part integrated program.

Though stress is often seen as an emotional or mental condition, there is a physical component to it as well. Feelings of aggravation and nervousness cause the release of adrenaline, which in turn increases your heart rate. Stress can also cause chest pain, high-blood pressure, headaches, and difficultly sleeping.

Yet there is a hormone specifically designated for emotional upset known as cortisol. A vital hormone that is often referred to as the "stress hormone", cortisol increases blood pressure, blood sugar levels, and acts as an immunosuppressant, making you more vulnerable to illness.

Since we can’t get rid of cortisol (nor would we want to since it is integral to our life-saving ‘fight or flight’ response among other abilities), the next best approach is to control it – or rather, find a better way to manage stress and emotional upset.
